Well oh well.....this blogging stuff is getting the best of me. I have the best of intentions, but can't seem to follow through. Just to keep you up to date, here are some things that have happened or will happen.
~This morning I drove to Columbus, Ohio. Why, you ask??? Well, we just completed Julia's Post-placement report for the three year mark (the last). I needed to get the report apostilled in C-town. That is a two hour drive, one way. So, I got all the way there and inside the "right" building. I had my 8x10 white envelope with me and was ready to get the document apostilled. Well, while I was waiting, I decided to pull out the report. Low and behold, I grabbed the *wrong* white envelope. What I pulled out was before and after pictures of women's breasts with the tattooing done. YIKES! I guess I will be driving back to Columbus tomorrow with the RIGHT envelope.
~Karla, Kelly, Haley, Kelsey, Kaylee and Kylee are coming to visit in TWO days! WooHoo. I am really looking forward to it. Unfortunately, Tim and Julia are not on Spring Break and will be going to school. Maybe they will be *sick* one day.
~Tim has gone to two workshops with Hollywood type people the past two Sundays. He got some positive feedback from one of them. Hoping for some auditions. Tim also started doing Track this spring. He was pretty sore the first few days, but is doing fine now. (or at least not complaining any longer)
~Julia starts fast pitch softball soon. She seems to have a lot of homework....or maybe isn't getting done in school what she should and brings it home for homework. Some days I feel like a big Ogre with all my requests for her to sit down and stay focused. SIGH! I had a long talk with her on Monday and informed her that I was no longer going to NAG her and that she was a responsible and smart girl and she would be in charge of budgeting her time appropriately. Hmmm...we'll see how it works. I don't remember ever having this problem with the other three. I'm thinking that a lot of their study skills were learned at a young age. Plus, they weren't as socially motivated as dear Julia.
~Mike is great and is so happy that today begins March Madness. We didn't organize a "pool" like we've done in years past, so it's up to the Michigan State Spartans to keep our interest...well, at least mine. Mike is looking forward to seeing his mom in April for Spring Break.
~So enjoying the spring weather. The daffodils are blooming and the Forsythia's aren't far behind. Survived another Midwest winter.
That's all for now!

Wow-- three years! That is awesome! Why did you have that envelope?
The envelope that I was suppose to bring had the certified copy of the post placement report. I didn't pay close enough attention and I grabbed the wrong one. argh!
Nice to hear from you again! That envelope story really resonates. I am nearly sure I've done that. Or something close.
BTW - Anastasia is my ONLY child, adopted or bio, who is dedicated and organized about schoolwork. She is SO on top of things. So - beats me. Sergei and Aidan are so alike in this regard that it is scary.
Micigan State is surely keeping your interest!!!
We had such a good time and we miss you guys!
You are such a good mom....I am trying some of your parenting on the girls :-)
love you
Let will be your way. Do, as want.
