University of Michigan Graduate

Last weekend was a very special time for our family. Kaitlyn graduated from the University of Michigan...keeping up the Combes' legacy that was passed down by her great-grandfather, Pa John, Aunt Linda, Uncle Rick and her cousin, Gregg. The graduation was held on the Diag since the "Big House" is under construction. It was a beautiful morning that started off cloudy and ended with a blue sky and sunshine. Below are many photos of the big weekend. Kaitlyn and Michael

On Friday night, we all went out to pizza.

I have looked at these over and over and have been trying to decide what to say, and I guess I feel kinda speechless......

We had sooooo much fun...the whole weekend was so good......we love Michael, we love the time spent with the family that was there, we love that Tom and Linda so graciously opened their home to us, we loved the singing around the piano, we loved our time with Julia......ok, so maybe I am not speechless.

Kait, we love you so much and cannot even put into words how proud we are of you. We are so thankful where God is directing you and look so forward to doing life with you........now that you are an adult!!

We love you all and miss you!!

Wow - what great pictures. Karen - you did such a nice job of capturing the entire weekend. It was a magical weekend in so many ways. It was so nice to spend time with family - we sure had lots of laughs. Linda and Tom - thanks so much for graciously hosting the festivities (especially the day before leaving on vacation).

Kaitlyn - I am so proud of you. It seems like yesterday you were in pre-school in Lake Villa. You certainly have had a progression of schools. Lake Villa to East Lansing to St Bernards to Christian Academy of Louisville to East Lansing High School to the University of Michigan. As parents, we sure have prepared you for the ever changing world (ha, ha). Thanks for the beautiful, kind, caring, giving and spiritual person that you are. As you enter adulthood, I pray you experience the joy, love and peace of a life lived for the Lord.

I love you.
